Encouraginng each other to be assertive is something that is very important to me! Relying on others can be very frustrating. People using their own initiative can often achieve far more. Self belief is important! We llive in a town where this already happens so much . It will be natural for us as to do this more and more..

What do you make of this behaviour?
Comments please.
Should we kick up a fuss or ignore it or just say something politely like.
"Would you mind not parking there when you go to the cash machine?"
The latter is to be preferred when one is brave enough but sometimes just filming is the easy option and hoping someone he knows sees it and points it out.
Perhaps he won't do it again!
Perhaps Dick Base, traffic warden will say/do something.
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps, he's your husband/boyfriend and you won't approve.
Perhaps you think :
"Get this ruddy nosy-parker out of here"
Post a comment or
Perhaps you couldn't care less. (but then you wouldn't have read this far . . !)

Hopefully you've reported him to Balfour Beatty/UU.
indeed. hopefully Balfour Beatty will fire him for this outrageous contempt for parking regulations.
Then, hopefully he will track you down and visit retribution upon your weedy needy little soul, and you can spy on all from high above for ever more.
Interestingly you both put the action back on me!
I just raised the issue.
No I have not reported him or intend to. You have the information and can report what you see here and I will confirm what I saw, if you do.
I prefer the village stocks approach - that of highlighting peoples behaviour and asking you what you think!
If I see the behaviour as definitely dangerous - speeding in busy streets and using a mobile phone while driving - I will prosecute if at all possible.
Isn't it time for the likes of the two anonymous people above, who feel strongly, to do something themselves?
Mobile phone while driving? That is nothing mate i can drive and read the bible at the same time.
Geoff..WTF..it's one of those grey areas . Technically he's breaking the law but sometimes the law is an ass. He's pulled his car up on the pavement but he's not clearly obstructing anyone and does not look like a danger to other road users. I think really Ulverston is an awkward place to stop and go and get some money from the ATM. I think a little bit of planning would make a lot more sense.

I totally agree with you and I get very fed up of the abuse of the parking around Ulverston generally. The tradespeople seem to feel it is their right to park anywhere easy for them and to heck with jo public, the disabled or partially sighted or mum's with prams. As long as it is for their benefit it is okay.
