Cast your Tesco/Co-op vote here !

Here's a poll that someone has set up !

Which store do you love in Ulverston?

I thought we'd let this run for a month and then we could try another!

So you have till 21 12 2009

Then what?

Results and their interpretation no doubt.

A spot check tonight of both Tesco and the Co-op confirms the present figure on the poll. At 4.30pm tonight (Tuesday 24th) there were 9 people in the Co-op and 14 in Tesco.

That's a good poll you've done there Geoff, will keep an eye on that and see how the people of ulverston vote.Just cast my vote now for it,good to see as well you can only vote once, must be some sort of control on it,at least we can get a proper voting on it

I had absolutely nothing to do with setting this poll up but welcome it as an indication of what readers of this blog think.

Its amazing how many things this guy Anonymous gets up to. I always thought the Greeks were a hardworking lot. (which of course is a racist comment for those of you that are monitoring this kind of thing!)

It's good to hear that you can only vote once though how does that work with husband, wife and over 18 year old kids! I imagine that this is one vote from each computer address. I suspect that the wiley will found a way round the system but then it's not of earth shattering importance.

I shan't be taking the result too seriously as none of the people I know can be bothered reading this stuff (blog) and I do question why I write it!

I guess it's a safety valve for my frustrations and makes me think I'm doing something. I must admit that actually doing things with others is far more satisfying!

Your bound to get a lot of posts from Anonymous as not a lot of people can't be bothered to register an account. The link is also posted on facebook,so should get plenty of votes via facebook.

There's another idea Geoff how about setting up a group on facebook, more people would see your work on there than here.To reach people in this day and age is via facebook

First Anonymous could give him/herself a name at the end of the comment.

As for Facebook, having tried it, I found it disappointing at the level of involvement.

I'm not impressed with this friends idea and my brain isn't good at coping with new technology.

I've got a reasonable idea of how this Google blog works and feel I haven't got the energy to do both blog and Facebook and now Ulverstonlocal.co.uk. And there's the occasional posting on the Westmorland Gazette forum.

Need a space left to live a little - any recommendations for a place to dance - with space enough to sail from one side of the floor to the other. I have a partner that's eager for a fling - none of this boring Salsa or jigging around moonstruck on all of two foot square.

Those were the days at Buffers in the early evening before the crowds arrived dancing to the Cure with its off-beat rhythm or when the seven piece Jazz band came up from the Adelphi at Liverpool.

What were we talking about ?

Oh yes, Anonymous and a failing brain.

what is your opinion now that Hart St stores are to close?

It sad to see a 'corner shop' close but was it to big for the location?

The Coop seems to be thriving!
