It would appear that the main source of parking is the existing car park on Brewery Street.
I could find no clear information about the underground car parking that was talked about.
The presence of the latter and its size is for me a crucial issue. We already have major problems in the town with parking facilities: it is important that any new development would not add to our problems.
We need to continue to be a shopping friendly town in every way possible.
I have used the contact facility on the above site to ask the following questions and await answers which will be published here:
"What is the size of the Underground Car park that you propose?
Could you give more information as to what physical changes to the Brewery St car park are proposed?
From your drawing it would appear that part of it will be excated to provide access to the underpass entrance to the store.
What price structure for the car park is envisaged? Will your customers get free parking? What prices for those that use the underground car park?
Can more detailed plans be seen elsewhere?"
I have also writen to SLDC planning department for information regarding detailed plans.

"continue to be a shopping friendly town....". You really do live on a different planet to sane, normal, people. This afternoon I exhausted all possibilities (3 of them) trying to purchase a bottle of gravy browning. Our quirky and traditional shoppes could not furnish same. As previously stated - I can buy framed pictures of lakes, organic coffee and any amount of what passes for ethnic "art" but me gravy has to remain anaemic. So far as shopping goes Ulverston is a ****hole and will remain until Lidl/Aldi open a superstore, preferably on Ford Park.

Continuing the theme of "Angry of Croftlands", I used to buy 'Udder Balm' & 'Stockholm Tar' from 'Mackereths' in Ulverston, these products are no longer available in the town and my cows are suffering distressing "tit problems". I have tried concocting my own cures with condensed septic tank effluent mixed with distilled parraffin. following application this has resulted in loss of three teats of each cow , could you please advise of a remedy to cure this problem? Will the new supermarket stock products to rememdy this problem?
I gather you're not just still living in the last century but the one before that.
