A visit to Paris

The Pompidou Centre attracts musicians and performers. Last Sunday was no exception with a very talented group from Lille performing next to the Fountain of the Automats.

Did you watch all the things going round in the fountain.
I think The Pompidou center is a monstrosity but I liked that fountain and watching the things go around and around.
All that area going across Blvd Sebastopol to Les Halles used to be a fruit and veg market.
I miss Paris so much my soul belonged there.

Yes Chris, I love the fountain and all the "automates". I pay it a visit every time I go to Paris which is why I discovered this group - Morlisneul.

Most of that area has been given over to tourists.
However you can still find a few old cafe's with Pernod,Piaf and the Verlan of market traders.
Very little of the old Paris remains in the 1eme.
You will still find a lot of the old Paris in the 4eme.
However property prices are disgusting an impoverished writer could no longer afford a garret.
Lucky to find a 10 or 12 M2 bedsit for 600 Euro in the inner arrondissements.
