Flooding

I imagine the stomachs of those who live in South Ulverston will be uneasy to say the least.

80mm of rain forecast in the next 24 hours with more on the hills - a viscous coctail.

The worse happening by Saturday evening.

Let me know if I can help - some of you have my phone number to call.

Sandside school flooded because of burst water pipes, frozen during the Chritmas break, which poured water into the building when the thaw came. Sandside students are being temporarily housed in abuilding on the site which UVHS recently stopped using.

I was relieved to find there weren't the buckets of rain that had been predicted.

Looking on the radar at what actually happened suggested that we just missed most of it when it travelled passed to the north of us.

The ropewalk was high yesterday and lower today.
Thanks for your kind offer though.

Thanks. It can't be much fun with the kind of weather that is being predicted at present.

Good to find that the worse didn't happen.

Wouldn't it be good if we felt that we were confident that we could cope?
