Not at all!

I have a lovely playing there.

Your as young as you feel inside.

I've had a go on most of the equipment along with my two year old friends.

I leave the slide and tunnel, and the swings to them. But the rest are great. The high swing around thing caught me out when I swung too vigorously and landed on the matting - just testing it out - it worked well.

Love the old make-believe wagon and we all have a great time jumping on the steel plates of the floor. We had a group of kids taking over and kept up the bouncing well after I'd stopped.

The water of the puddle just got adsorbed in the gravel - which was a pity because we need some water to wash the mud off now.

There have been a couple of more recent postings here on this topic.

After a meeting with SLDC work on the children's area started with 48hrs.

The aim is to promote grass and not bark chippings with rubber matting when appropriate in order to deal with heavy usage.

I was most impressed with the engineer in charge , Peter Clark, who had seen the entries on this blog and took them to heart with a sense of humour.

His problem is that he has been landed with more and more responsibilities by SLDC so that he has a wide area to cover.

Peter Clark is a decent fella, works his arse off for sldc and never moans about it.Maybe if sdlc gave him more money to spend he could bring someone else in to help him maintain the parks
