Encouraginng each other to be assertive is something that is very important to me!
Relying on others can be very frustrating. People using their own initiative can often achieve far more. Self belief is important!
We llive in a town where this already happens so much . It will be natural for us as to do this more and more..
The technical term for drivers like this is "Complete idiots". Honestly, to park like this they mustn't have a single thought swirling around in those vacant skulls of theirs.
This is why we need traffic wardens managing parking; to save us from the selfish and the stupid.
This is at 8:30 pm and wardens have long since gone home, mind you they only here a few days a week. On Thursdays and Saturdays, the are instructed by the Town Council not to issue tickets.
Furthermore it is well known that if you state that you're going to fight the ticket in court, you'll get off, as the council won't spend money on lawyers to defend the issuing of a ticket.
Looking at the ladders on the roof just maybe he's working there.I don't see a problem with it,plenty of room for cars ect to past, walkers can get past if anyone with a pram they can walk on the other side
Doesn't look to me like there's plenty of room for cars to get past. Maybe there would have been if 2 vehicles hadn't decided to park pretty much opposite each other (both on double yellows incidentally).
If he's working there, why not just stick his car in the car park? You can't expect pedestrians and other road users to go out of their way because you're in the wrong - if I was pushing a pram and you told me to cross over the road because you'd blocked the pavement by parking stupidly and illegally you would get a mouthful at the very minimum.
Pity about the lack of attendants. Maybe something like this would make the offenders more aware of what they're doing http://www.youparklikeanasshole.com
If that doesn't work, phone the police and tell them there's a car causing a hazard.
There was no sign of the owner and it had been parked for more than five minutes.
You may want to consider that we had a car crash into the house over the road only a year ago.
This is a stretch of well used road where people can speed and is the site of a now famous video (2,400 views - it's nice and short) I made a year ago when a 'boy racer' nearly ran into the back of the driver in front who got out pulled the guys door open and threatened him with his fist - giving me time to get my camera out !

What kind of system is this?

the poster needs to look at the picture again, there's not two cars parked at all. There's a car driving past ffs
You're right .
Only the car on the left is stationary.
There was no sign of the owner and it had been parked for more than five minutes.

What you don't hear is a very quiet sorry after he had foul mouth the guy that had threatened him.
It's parked on double yellow lines, so unless it has disabled badges or belongs to a doctor on call it shouldn't be there. Simple.
This raises an interesting point.
Is it really simple?
If someone breaks the law they should be punished or at least told off?
But I suspect we are all breaking the law in some way every day.
Our discussion group (you're welcome) is discussing the role of laws at the moment.
Some of us deliberately break the law occasionally
and even feel good about it
and in some cases 90% of the public approve.
There are several examples on this blog already.
Who's right?
