The more blog posts you write, the more often you will appear on the search engines for different phrases relating to what you write. I see that most of your visits are new visitors coming in through the search engines; if you look on your Google Analytics account at the keywords they are using you should get a good flavour of what search queries they are using to get to your site, and which pages they are landing on.

The more content you write, the more traffic you are likely to get. If you are writing about things which are popular and your blog is able to rank for them you will be able to attract more and more visitors.

Thanks for all this - I hadn't thought to look at the search words being used.

The interesting thing would be how many return visits over the year take place. With 62% return visitors at the moment these people number 330.

Are they being kept happy?

Not something to think about otherwise this whole thing becomes a drag.

Great to find that others are interested.

An important figure is the total time spent looking at the site - visitors times average time. This runs at a high of 143 minutes (52 times 2.75 mins)on July 19th.

Enough of introspection - let's get on with living - piano or allotment?

Or even a spot of tidying up? - Nah! Tomorrow or when I can't find something important.
