Hard times when I was young

As an oldy, trying to communicate about what life was life with young people when I was their age, I'm reminded of the Monty Python sketch:

Very good Geoff but you have fallen into the trap of describing this as a Monty Python sketch. In fact the ORIGINAL VERSION comes from ' At Last the 1948 Show ' and features only Cleese and Chapman of the Pythons. ,Tim Brooke-Taylor and Marty Feldman are the other two characters.

Accuracy is not my strong point. As you and others will have noticed, emotional energy perhaps is(?). My spelling is atrocious (sp?!) (in spite of regularly checking in the dictionary)- My main excuse is that when it came to signing my name at my own wedding I had to check with my (new) wife how to spell (Geoffrey or Geoffery). My present mind is now far worse at memory. My strength is at solving problems (practical ones not how to spell correctly).

My main point is is that it's a fun sketch - I love this rediculous, childish type of humour!

Having guys around like you Allen to make comments and ensure accuracy is what is great about blogs like this. I neeeeeed you.
