Views out the window

What a contrast!

Looking to the right on a hot day in May !

Who needs Picasso's concrete cows when we have the real thing. Friesian, milk cows aren't they?

By contrast :

Straight on in November !

I love the mist and sadness of a windless day with the whiff of a coal fire in the air!

Yes, I agree. Looking from our windows is sheer delight — all the year round. Brilliant jewel-like blossoms at present. But one day in winter, snow softly falling in a mist-like manner, the scene became almost mystical.
But we are lucky to have such scenes don't you think?
Some housebound folk only have blank walls.

I agree with the poor quality of some housing.

What badly needs reviewing is the planning laws that allow houses like the ones at the Gill End of Upper Brook street to be built in the first place by greedy house builders. Permission should have restricted the number of homes to be four and not the nine that have been built.

Hand in hand with this is the way very suitable land like that at Stone Cross that could have great housing on it to continue to be undeveloped.

Our politicians need to put some hard work into achieve affordable, attractive housing. I'm convinced it's possible. No one will take the bull by the horns and get it done.

I wish you'd vote me in and I'd have a damn good try!

Your chance will be at the next election for District Council representatives - I'll be there - I hope you'll support my nomination!
