There are so many sickening examples of people jumping on the "down with the NOW" bandwagon who will delighted to do the same all over again and support and curry favour with Murdoch.
People who will now switch their allegiance to another Red Top, even though we have been told that the problems with the NOW journalism are endemic - another Red Top will attempt to act in exactly the same way.
They could of course buy the Guardian ( who exposed this cesspit) or the Sunday equivalent the Observer . . . (tongue in cheek).
The only politician I've noticed so far that has come out of this clean so far is Shirley Williams who stated on question time that she has never been to a Murdoch Party. We learn that both Labour and the Conservatives have both been eager to "jump into bed" with Murdoch in order to gain his favour. He is recognised as being strongly influential in steering our so called democracy.
No wonder people are getting fed up with politics and now even switching away from newspapers altogether - so what will take their place? - Blogs like this linked by Twitter ?
I hope that at the same time we will have and support good investigative journalism like the Independent and the Guardian to name two and hopefully more of this locally -will the Evening Mail change away from its sex, drugs and violence approach?
Lastly - I fear that the same morality is also pervasive of Ulverston Society where secrecy and denial of information to the public is endemic.
Don't let's kid ourselves that the problem is somewhere else - it's here too.

Much of what is being said by public figures at the moment - as reported by the bbc - comes across as insincere.
Even Andrew Marr's programme this morning was disappointing.
As for believing Ed Miliband, he could be sincere but words are not enough to convince.
People these days have developed the skill to look you straight in the eyes and tell - lies.
I come back to the tried and tested people like Shirley Williams and several others.
Why don't the rest just shut up so that the media stops chasing its own tail.
Can others suggest other sources of pubic commnent that isn't so sick?
Someone's blog for instance.
Newspapers give people what they want otherwise no one would buy them.
Curious that those that drool over a 'sex scandal' the revelation of which ruins individual lives and breaks up marriages, causing distress to innocent family members (including children), suddenly go all moral over the disgusting practice of hacking into the phones of murder victim's families etc. (I am NOT defending the rotters).
Other papers will take the place of the News of the World and sensation seekers will still get their fill. (As they do already)
We all have a shadow side to our nature and deceive ourselves if we think otherwise. We need to understand the reasons behind what has happened. Those who have never been in a position to be tempted are least likely to understand the mechanisms that govern this kind of behaviour. Vile methods behind reporting are surely a product of providing 'circuses' for the masses. But what we really need is good honest bread. (Not that I read newspapers anyway!)
It is bad enough to belong to a society organised like a vast pyramid with the likes of our so called political class at the top, an oppressive policing system, and the predatory/parasitic juggernaut businesses of banking, major utilities and transport, with the Murdochs serving up the establishments’ (and his) version of what’s going on in the world.
Think what it’ll be like if News International gets full control of BSKYB.
The vast majority of the population occupying the levels lower in the pyramid will have to work very hard to gain access to information that hasn’t passed through the hands of organisations that have a vested interest in moulding information into versions that suit their own purposes. The BBC will provide versions of “reality” that suit the purposes of the politicians more than they do at present. The image of Big Business will be flatteringly presented to us by a beefed up, unassailable BSKYB.
We’ll be watching manipulated news and entertainment programs that makes the present stream of drivel seem like cerebral enrichment. With politicians, Big Business and the Police united and well presented to us in our homes our “realities” will be manufactured for us more than ever before.
All this to keep us quiet while we work our selves silly and be glad to do it for a much needed pay-packet (if you‘re lucky), time in front of the telly and 2 or 3 weeks holiday a year.
Feel the nape of your necks everyone. Is there a computer jack socket there? Of course there isn’t. No need for one when there’s a satellite dish on the outside wall

Now on the news we're being bombarded by the biased view that the staff of the NoW are being given a rough deal as though the majority are wonderful.
"Good riddance to bad rubbish" is my view. One of the things that they brag about is Sarah's Law which led to massive injustice against innocent people and whipped up a lynch mob mentality.
The fact that the NoW was such a successful paper is a sad reflection of the kind of emotionally charged people that live in Britain with little concern about reason. Fortunately they represent a low percentage.
Let's hope the present kefuffle soon comes to a climax and is terminated with a result that we can have confidence in.
Will reason come through as the more important or will irrational emotion continue to rule the day.
AS the rancid truth about Britain's puppet-masters continues to unravel, a country once sedated by telly and shiny things has become almost vaguely interested.
