What do you think of the £30k facelift for the ginnel between Co-op and the Grapes, Geoff?

I'm all for it - much better that the money be spent on permanent improvements - especially for a town aiming to be for tourists - than one-off projects or just going into the pockets of faceless bureaucrats. Do the whole town centre I say.

If you didn't catch the story here is the link. http://nwemail.co.uk/news/ulverston/30k_facelift_for_ulverston_town_centre_street_1_554585?referrerPath=home

Looks promising. I hope we get some quality design input on this project.

The problem will be the way it is maintained by the County.

They're doing there best of ruining a lot of good projects around town with their appalling repairs. See my posting on Lower Brook Street earlier this year when they just shoved a load of asphalt in a whole rather than use the cobbles that were sitting nearby.(A favorite trick)
