Refugees - welcome

These two articles in the Evening Mail impressed me.

I suddenly realise that I want more refugees here and fewer 'lazy whites'

The former have so many qualities that I'd like to ship off the latter to the extremes of the planet.

Is there a party for the opposite extreme to the BNP?

There's enough of these in this country and they should all bugger of back from where they came from. When they came over and stayed in the lower school a mate of mine worked for furness footwear and was sent to the school with a load of shoes and trainers and half the ungrateful gets didn't want them cause they weren't brand names.Another time i knew of a council house that came empty so i went to the town hall to ask to be considered for this house. Now please understand i've lived in ulverston all my life,my parents and grandparents lived here all there lifes. We never got the house then i found out that a family of kovo's got the house, now how they could have more points than me to get to the top of the lists is beyond me i had a boy and girl sharing bedrooms when by law cause my lass was 12 she shouldn't share with a boy and our house was over crowded

Maybe because, although crowded, you already had a house and they were living in a dilapidated school with about 100 other refugees? Just a thought.

And teenagers from any country can be unbelievably fussy about branded clothes - don't try and make out it's limited to 'ungrateful' Kosovans. If there were a bunch of Ulverstonian refugees you would get much the same result.

Remember when you complain about this group of immigrants you are talking about PEOPLE the same as you or me - only they had the misfortune to have to flee from brutal ethnic cleansing the likes of which we would find almost impossible to imagine.

The reason they are here is that many of these people's fathers, brothers, uncles, nephews and sons were rounded up like cattle and taken out to remote locations to have their brains blown out by those who didn't want them in their country. Their bodies were dumped in unmarked pits in their thousands.

I challenge you to look at the photos of these mass graves and read the gruesome stories of the atrocities committed - imagining "what if it my family?" - and not feel ashamed at saying they should all 'bugger off back where they came from'.

Take pride in the fact Ulverston welcomed these people who had lost everything; even if it was at the expense of missing out on a bigger council house.

Shocking how so many agree that these people should be given houses ect, think i'll vote bnp next year they wouldn't stand for it.

Have you read the two articles in the Evening Mail that are referred to?

And do you still feel the same?

And I can't believe how many small minded racist idiots there are around. The bnp are a bad joke and if you are daft enough to vote for them you should be ashamed of yourself for tarnishing britain's good name. I agree geoff, ship out the lazy, ignorant locals and get some decent, hard working folk in. Generation after generation all living in the same town? Maybe you should have taken the opportunities of being a privileged westerner and bought a bleedin house of your own instead of relying on the council!

Can we tone the language down a bit - or shall I edit out the 'bugger', 'idiots' and 'bleedin'?

Buying a house is no joke these days unless you've got family ready to help you get going.

I was lent £600 to buy my first house for £900 in Beech Bank on a wage of about £900 a year . . .
