Who let the dogs out in Ford Park on Christmas Day

At last I've finished this promised celebration of great fun event!

This gathering - the first of its kind in Ulverston brought together dogs for frolic. Their human mates enjoyed themselves as well.

Doggy people are great to chat with and responsibly help keep this threatened park for everyday people.

They are the main users of this expanse of grass and keep it in prime condition (picking up litter and other people's dog shit) !

Why not join them one Saturday morning around 9.30 am at Ford Park for a romp?

Nothing formal : maybe see you there!

Ford Park is nothing to do with you and you are acting illegally organising events there when you do not run Ford Park, you are not on the committee and you do not own it. Ford Park grounds are maintained beautifully and the general public encouraged to attend the plethora of excellent events (ranging from theatre productions to car boots to gigs to family picnics). By your thoughtless encouragement to send hundreds of dog walkers there, you ruin the environment with an influx of dog mess. A very irresonsible action, Mr Dellow, and one you have no business doing.

Ford Park IS something to do with me. I am part of the community.

I am NOT acting illegally, organising events. We have paid £25 to rent the field on Christmas Morning.

My encouragement has NOT sent hundreds of dog walkers there. Only dog walkers who already use the park are being invited to attend. Invitations are by word of mouth and a card. This video is not being used to promote the meeting though I agree its title gives the date and time.

The card encourages all dog walkers to join the Ford Park Group.

Finally the Ford Park Committee in granting the rental of the field, acknowledged to responsible attitude of those that attended last year in cleaning up any dog mess that happened.

The many responsible people who exercise their dogs in Ford Park have a beneficial effect on other park users. Without their presence, less responsible people might be inclined towards vandalism where it not for a high presence of so many adults in the Park.

Behaviour in Lightburn Park for instance will, I believe, improve, the more adults use it.

Your comment raises the question:

Where did you get such biased and incorrect information?
