Gill Banks clean up

Before

Check it out now!

Why?

It's Halloween at the end of the month!

Hundreds will be walking this way - we think.

We hope you'll join us on the candlelit walk here.

Sunday October 31st at 6:30pm.

well done Geoff again and residents good old fashioned stuff I bet they even speak to each other .
Perhaps its the spirits in the houses that influence people.
modern estates dont have it.
old houses, old values seem to mingle .
Do you hear clip clop at your place?

We all enjoyed the hard work and sense of achievement.

There was a real buzz as we did the various tasks. Everyone got stuck in.

Time flew by.

Right up to the end when we stuffed three massive builders bags into Marcus's van along with the separated three black bags of Balsam.

On their way to the town recycling centre next day.

Why is this cooperation there?

It's tradition.

The shape of The Gill with people who tend to sit outside their houses.

There's a lot of chat and helping each other out.

We used to have barbecues and play badminton outside the houses at the top end of the Gill.

We have always got together in each other's houses if there's been an issue to confront.

We've been getting together to 'do' things in the recent past - making pottery for the railings - last year's successful candlelit walk - work in Mill Dam Park - the 'Big Wet Lunch'.

We can look back with a sense of achievement.

We look forward to even more fun together.

This year's Candlelit walk is a real challenge as we step up a gear in our aims.

All our jobs are getting checked off like clockwork. We seem to be well organised. Everyone has their expertise and contribution.

If you fancy getting involved let me know we still have jobs that need doing!

Become one of the Candlelighting Teams on the day - we've 700 to do.

You could still make a pottery 'Spike light' in one of our workshops.

There's one this Saturday morning at 10:00.

Geoff - 480347.

Clip clop?

It's more. Pad pad with the accompanying plop plop and the rare

"Yuk, Who left that there"
