Beware if you plan to go up Hoad

More precisely, beware how you come down.

I'm told that if you've found your way up safely, avoid the steep way down.

Work is going on towards the bottom and blocking the usual path. The diversion is quite difficult.

I went up the back of hoad the other day and came down the front. Now when i got to the bottom it was fenced off,yet no signs at the top to tell you this.So imagine when i went up the back and down the front to find it fenced off.Now there was no way i was going back up hoad so i ended up moving fencing so i could come down ford park way

Yes this is exactly what happened to a friend.

The problem is coming down the front.

I understood that one could get down via a 'diversion' which was fairly dodgy - a way through steep bracken.
