Encouraginng each other to be assertive is something that is very important to me!
Relying on others can be very frustrating. People using their own initiative can often achieve far more. Self belief is important!
We llive in a town where this already happens so much . It will be natural for us as to do this more and more..
Geoff, I'm sorry to hear that you're in hospital. Although I've never met you, I hope that you recover soon. I was just reading your article about the Ulverston TIC closure, and it seems to me that there is still time for a group of volunteers to do something constructive about this situation. I would be interested in getting involved. The internet is a great tourist information resource, but more is needed. Real people can provide personal tailored advice in a way that websites cannot. Ulverston's future as a festival town needs the visitors to keep coming. Please keep up the good work.
Sorry to hear you had a stroke Geoff, try and stay calm and keep your BP low. If you want to go somewhere nice I know a wonderful hotel in the 4e in Paris. Family hotel very old, quite close to that monstrosity The Pompidou Center. Hotel St Merry of the Rue Verrerie. Dome St Merry and Suite St Merry depending on how much you want to spend. I knew happy times in that hotel. More intimate than the Grand Old Hotels of Paris and cheaper. Nice bar in the hotel First Growths and Verlaine. Try and stop fighting with The Recalcitrant Chimps at the council. Go and relax in Paris and keep your BP low. My thoughts are with you Geoff. Chris
I will close with gallows humor,I no longer invite people places,or if I do it is a joke after I have been tweaking my CB2 receptor. However if I was whole there is somebody in France I would like to invite on an adventure. Just to pass the time I was working on my opening epistle. How does this sound "your mother is disgusting, would you like to get a coffee?" Guess Not.............. Remember the name of that hotel Geoff,I know Paris from living under a bridge to the Coco Chanel suite,The Hotel St Merry is so very special. They knocked a lot of buildings down around Les Hales across the Blvd Sebastapol all the way to the other "thingy" that monstrosity The Pompidou Center, however The Hotel St Merry is very old,if the walls could talk I am sure they could tell enchanting tales. Try and take things easy Geoff. They are only words, however words are all I have,my thoughts are with you......Chris
