We are experiencing more and more traffic bottlenecks in Ulverston:our narrow streets where never built for this amount of traffic.
It therefore makes no sense to allow any further house building in the town until our roads and streets are sorted out.
I suggest that Ulverston is not a suitable place for further house building until this is done. The proposal that substantially more houses are built here is surely ludicrous until our roads are sorted out.

It's the same story in most towns, Geoff. Kendal traffic has been atrocious for years. Barrow can be bad, as can places like Lancaster. There doesn't seem to be much of a solution to the problem, but people need places to live.
Thanks Bruce for writing but don't you think that road improvements need to be part of the dealBad roads with too much traffic, create misery and danger for everyone.
Bruce to my way of thinking the solution is to build new well constructed towns and not adding misery to existing ones that are not coping with their roads.
Once new houses are built we have misery and danger infinitely into the future.
Rebuilding new servicable roads would be horrendous and impractical.
If you've got a penny farthing bicycle ; you dont try and convert it onto a motorbike , whatever your needs.
